About Us

At Marian Arts Psychotherapy we use trust, compassion and curiosity as an integrated approach to work with children, young people, adults and caregivers & infants. We understand the current impact of psychological, socio-environmental, social, political, systemic and biological influences in everyday life and bring psycho-education and mentalization into the work we do for long-term support. We believe these are necessary tools to use within our work to empower individuals for self-worth, self-identity and self-awareness. We also work with symptoms and patterns of behaviours to understand them and provide strategies. Our approach uses the base of psychodynamic, gestalt, trauma informed, attachment and developmental therapy. Bringing in elements of CBT, Mentalisation Based Therapy and new to the team, EMDR therapy.
